Manning Masonry Inc. wins Inaugural NCMCA Certified Masonry Project of the Year
Manning Masonry Inc. has been awarded the inaugural NCMCA Certified Masonry Project of the Year by the North Carolina Masonry Contractors Association (NCMCA). The historic, landmark award recognizes outstanding architectural craftsmanship, strict adherence to rigorous standards, and an uncompromising commitment to masonry principles on the landmark Lenoir Community College New Aviation Center For Excellence. The NCMCA Masonry Contractor Certification Program is a premier pre-qualification tool utilized by regional architects and owners who desire to achieve a standard of excellence on their masonry projects. “This inaugural award establishes a baseline for masonry excellence in the Carolinas,” said NCMCA Executive VP, Ryan Shaver.
The Lenoir Community College New Aviation Center For Excellence stands as a testament to what happens when masonry design aligns harmoniously with certified, highly trained, elite field execution. The award winning project utilized a number of masonry products including structural CMU, brick, and integrally colored polished CMU. The project team was formally honored at the NCMCA Convention recently held in Wilmington, NC. Manning Masonry Inc., Custom Brick, East West Products, Oldcastle, and Whitecap Construction Materials were all recognized for their contributions to the project. Additionally, a commemorative plaque will be presented to architect, JKF Architecture and general contractor, Clancy & Theys.
